Future Plans for Simulators

AASF is in the process of acquiring a flight simulator which will be launched on August 15th, 2006. This simulator will be the beacon that will attract young talent towards the field of aviation.

The first simulator will be mounted on a mobile platform and taken to the interiors of Maharashtra initially and over a phased period, AASF will add more simulators to its fleet to reach other parts of the country. By April of 2007, the foundation hopes to acquire two more simulators after testing the feasibility of our pilot project.

Meanwhile, the Jeet Aerospace Institute will be well underway and will offer tailored courses for the different segments which will benefit from them. The AASF along with Jeet Aerospace Institute will also acquire five acres of land to house the institute and the training facility.

The institute will conduct orientation courses for students, teachers, parents, and aspiring pilots, and will also offer career guidance and counselling.

The aim of these courses is not only to attract youngsters to aviation, but also to inculcate discipline. By using these courses as a platform, the AASF hopes to make the younger generation aware of the professionalism required to become successful in any career path they choose, and also instill in them a sense of civic responsibility and awareness and a respect for rules and regulation. For a pilot and an aircraft maintenance crew, slacking in any of these can mean the difference between life and death.
