The AASF is a registered Trust and seeks active involvement from anybody who believes in the veracity of this cause. The trustees have dedicated their lives to this noble cause. Too often the sacrifices that our soldiers make during peacetime are overlooked. AASF seeks to create awareness about these heroes.

The beginning of this endeavour is modest. AASF currently has approximately one acre of land contributed by the Gadgil family to the Trust and Rs. 50 Lakhs in the AASF fund pooled through contributions from family and friends.  The aim is to eventually acquire five acres of land to house the research and reference library, an aero-modelling facility, and the institute building, and Rs. Two Crores for the institute to be completely operational.

Pilot Project

AASF has chalked out a phased approach towards the culmination of their vision. The first step is the pilot project involving the mobile flight simulator. The first simulator which will be acquired at a cost of Rs. 60, 00, 000 will have its home in the institute and can also be mounted on an LMV to facilitate mobility. It has been christened 'EnterTrainer' ( PET-I) because of its dual purpose of training and entertainment. The EnterTrainer will be taken to schools, education institutes and on the roads to enable people to have a hands-on experience of flying. The simulator has been primarily acquired for training aspiring pilots and to give any person who has nurtured a dream to fly the opportunity to experience their dream. The money earned from this enterprise will also be pooled towards the AASF fund.

However in its continued mission to generate awareness about better and enhanced flight training techniques and orientation in aviation, AASF actively seeks your participation and sincerely appeals to all who can, to donate of their time, expertise and money. All monetary donations are exempt from tax under section 80-G of the Income Tax Act.
